Blue Wren River View Bed and Breakfast boasts a serenity that makes everything else seem a world away.
Set on a picturesque peninsula on the Hopkins River, it is the perfect weekend getaway.
On arrival, a walk around the scenic property, which is bordered by the river is a must, then guests are welcome to drop a fishing line from one of the river bank's vantage points, go canoeing or swimming or simply enjoy the peaceful surrounds.
The property's absolute river frontage gives guests the opportunity to see the well-known Tooram Stones, a natural volcanic wonder which separates the river's fresh water section from its salt water.
The spacious accommodation boasts its own spa bath and plasma television and has been tastefully decorated in bold, modern colours. There is also a kitchenette decked out with everything you need during your stay.
The property seems a world away from civilisation, but is only a short drive from Warrnambool for guests who want to explore the city.
A glimpse of a platypus and four pelicans were a highlight of our one night visit, as was the hospitality of Cheryl and Andrew.
We left the bed and breakfast feeling relaxed and thinking about a return visit to this tranquil retreat.

Dear Cheryl Herewith our belated review.
As the Real Estate agents maintain
"Location, location, location"!
What a wonderfully relaxing place to spend a quiet few days.
Only a five minute drive from Warrnambool with it's host of attractions.
This is the place to be! We could easily have spent a whole week there with all the mod-cons one could hope for and a friendly helpful pair of hosts. Our short break was all that we could hope for.
Keep up the good work!!! We will certainly spread the word!!
It was great to have a memento of our stay - "the roses that you gave us lasted so well and the perfume was a great reminder of our three days at the Blue Wren River View B & B"
Regards from both of us

The Blue Wren River View is simply the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The owners provide very friendly service and the accommodation is superb. The B&B is set in a very peaceful location. I cannot recommend this enough as a stay if you want quality time out in a wonderful environment! Do try to stay at least a few days!
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation Warrnambool
We had a fabulous time at the Blue Wren. The accommodation was very roomy and comfortable - great couch and large screen tv, very comfy bed, very peaceful surroundings, fabulous fishing and scenery.
We had only booked for 2 days and wished we could stay longer.
Cheryl and Andy are great hosts.
